I'm a candle and wax melt maker and I built CLPeasy™ because I was tired of the confusion, the cost and the time it takes to get CLP labels right. Most small makers are spending £200–£600 a year on compliance they could sort in minutes.
At £40–60 per label from a professional service, 10 fragrances costs £400–600 before you've even started. CLPeasy™ Easy Start costs less than that for an entire year — and covers every update, every new scent, every reprint. Try free for 14 days, no card needed.
You're running a creative business — probably around a full-time job, family commitments, and everything else life throws at you. You're sourcing supplies, making products, photographing them, writing listings, packing orders, and trying to grow something you're genuinely proud of.
And then there's CLP compliance. Regulations that change. Hazard classifications that differ by supplier. Signal words, H statements, pictograms — all of it sitting on your shoulders, every single label, every single product, every time.
CLPeasy™ is the only tool built specifically for UK makers that takes that burden away entirely. We've done the hard work so you don't have to. We've got your back so you can stop worrying whether each label is up to standard — and get back to what you actually love doing.
"Your whole dream shouldn't fall down at the last hurdle because of a label. Relax, design, and create — we've got you."

Most UK makers are either paying far too much or spending hours doing it manually. Here's what the alternatives actually cost.
| Option | Cost | The catch |
|---|---|---|
| Professional CLP authoring service | £40–£60+ per label* | One-time only — no updates included. Every new scent or formula change costs the same again. Turnaround wait time. You still need to design the label yourself. |
| PDF template purchase | From £9.99 per label | Static PDF — requires a PDF editor to add your details. Paid software like Adobe Acrobat can cost £15–20/month (free alternatives exist but vary in quality). No library, no updates, no version history. |
| Supplier-tied free tool | Free | Only works with that supplier's fragrances. The moment you buy from a different supplier — or blend fragrances — you're on your own. |
| CLPeasy™ Easy Start | £9.99/month | All fragrances, all suppliers, unlimited updates, full label library, version history and batch records — all in one place. |
| CLPeasy™ Easy Pro | £14.99/month | Everything above plus SDS Smart Import, UFI generator, QR safety codes, compliance checker and regulation update alerts. |
| What does this mean for a small maker with 10 fragrances? | ||
| Professional authoring — 10 scents | £400–£600 one-time | Then £40–60 every time you add a new fragrance or update your formula. |
| PDF templates — 10 scents + editing software | £100–£340/year | £100 in templates plus up to £240/year for PDF editing software. Then £9.99 per new scent on top. |
| CLPeasy™ Easy Start — full year | £119.88/year monthly or £99/year annual 2 months free |
Every scent, every update, every reprint — no extra cost per label. 💡 Add more than 2 new fragrances a year and CLPeasy™ already costs less than PDF templates. Use a professional authoring service even twice and CLPeasy™ has paid for itself. |
| CLPeasy™ Easy Pro — full year | £179.88/year monthly or £149/year annual 2 months free |
Everything in Easy Start plus SDS Smart Import, UFI generator, QR safety codes, compliance checker and regulation alerts — the full compliance suite for serious sellers. |
A CLPeasy™ subscription isn’t just for the labels you make today — it’s for every label your growing business will ever need.
Every time you add a new fragrance to your range, you need a compliant CLP label for it. Most makers add several new scents every season — each one needs its own hazard classification, H statements and UFI code.
Changed your fragrance load percentage? Switched to a different supplier for the same scent? The hazard classification can change — which means your label must change too. Selling an outdated label is a legal risk.
New logo, new colour, new business name or address? Every label in your entire range needs to be regenerated. With CLPeasy™ your details are saved — change once and regenerate everything in minutes.
Christmas, Valentine’s, Mother’s Day, autumn collections — seasonal makers are constantly building new scents and retiring old ones. Your label needs keep pace with your creativity.
Adding reed diffusers to your candle range? Launching a room spray? Each product type has different CLP requirements. CLPeasy™ handles them all — candles, wax melts, diffusers, room sprays and more.
UK CLP regulation evolves. Substances get reclassified. New rules come in. CLPeasy™ keeps your labels current — your library is always there, ready to update, not sitting in a forgotten downloads folder.
CLPeasy™ is thoughtfully built and continuously improved. These features are in active development and will be rolling out to subscribers — no extra charge, no new plan needed.
All features roll out to existing subscribers automatically — no plan changes needed.

If you don't subscribe, your labels are kept safely for 30 days but downloads are paused until you choose a plan.
Easy Start is for makers who are happy to look up their hazard data manually from their supplier's SDS and enter it themselves. It includes the full label builder, 20 downloads/month, unlimited saved labels, folders, version history, batch records, print sheet composer and Cricut download.
Easy Pro gives you 30 downloads/month and adds the full compliance suite — SDS Smart Import (drop in your entire SDS PDF and CLPeasy™ extracts all hazard data automatically), UFI code generator, QR safety codes with hosted digital safety sheets, multi-language labels, compliance checker, Product Safety Report generator, regulation update alerts and SDS review reminder emails.

Yes. When you subscribe through Stripe you'll receive an automatic payment receipt by email after each billing date. If you need a formal invoice for your business records, contact us at support@clpeasy.com and we'll sort it.
You can save as many labels as you like. Every saved label is stored in your CLPeasy™ library with its full version history, batch records and hazard data. Organise labels into folders by product type and load them back into the builder to edit at any time.
Download allowances are 20/month on Easy Start and 30/month on Easy Pro — shown as a progress bar in the builder so you always know where you stand. If you accidentally lose a downloaded file — deleted, corrupted or just can't find it — re-downloading the same label within 7 days is free and does not count toward your allowance. If you need more downloads in a month, top-up packs are available. Downloads do not roll over to the next month.
Your library is the heart of CLPeasy™ — it's where your entire compliance history lives.
Yes — pausing is always better than cancelling. When you pause, your label library, version history, folders and batch records are all kept safe exactly as you left them. When you come back, everything picks up seamlessly where you left off.
To pause, go to your account settings and select 'Pause subscription'. You can pause for up to 3 months at a time.
If you cancel rather than pausing, your subscription runs until the end of the current billing period. After that, your label library is kept for 30 days then permanently deleted. QR codes on labels already printed on products stay live permanently — we would never break a link on a label already out in the world.
We'd always recommend pausing instead — it keeps everything safe and means you can return without starting from scratch.
Yes, any time from your account settings.
Upgrading — takes effect immediately. You're only charged the difference for the remaining days in your billing period. All Easy Pro features unlock straight away.
Downgrading — takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep full access until then. Your labels, folders and history stay safe — you just lose access to Easy Pro features like SDS Smart Import, UFI generator and QR codes on new labels.

No. CLPeasy™ runs entirely in your web browser — no downloads, no installs, no PDF editor required. It works on any modern browser on desktop, laptop, tablet or mobile. Just sign in and start building labels.
Yes. CLPeasy™ is designed to work on mobile, tablet and desktop. You can build, save and download labels from your phone if needed — though for detailed hazard data entry, most makers find a desktop or tablet easier.
CLPeasy™ works with any fragrance supplier — it's not tied to one brand. You enter or import the hazard data from your supplier's SDS and CLPeasy™ builds the label. Easy Pro's SDS Smart Import lets you drop in your entire SDS PDF and CLPeasy™ extracts all the relevant hazard data automatically — no need to copy individual sections. It works with any SDS PDF regardless of supplier.
Supplier-provided CLP labels only cover their own fragrances at their own standard percentages. The moment you use a different supplier, blend fragrances, use a custom fragrance load percentage, or sell your own branded products, those free labels no longer apply.
CLPeasy™ works across all your suppliers, all your formulations and all your product types — and keeps everything in one organised library that's always up to date.
Professional services are thorough but expensive — typically £40–£60 per label, with no updates included. Every new scent or formula change costs the same again. For a small maker with 10 fragrances that's £400–£600 before you've even started selling.
CLPeasy™ gives you the same compliant output for £9.99–£14.99/month — covering every label, every update and every reprint. Most makers save £200–£1,500 a year switching to CLPeasy™.
CLPeasy™ Easy Pro includes regulation update alerts — when ECHA updates CLP annexes affecting ingredients in your saved labels, you'll receive an email notification so you can review and update your labels promptly.
On Easy Start, it's your responsibility to check for regulatory changes — which is why we always recommend verifying your labels against your supplier's current SDS before each print run.
CLPeasy™ generates labels based on the data you enter. You remain the responsible person under UK CLP regulation — always verify against your current SDS before printing and selling.
14-day cooling off period under UK consumer law. Full details in our Refund Policy.
Downloaded label files are yours to keep — we can't and won't remove files already on your device. However, downloaded labels are static snapshots. If your supplier updates their SDS or regulations change, they won't update automatically. You remain the responsible person under UK CLP regulation for ensuring your labels stay current.
No. Safety sheets for QR codes already printed on your products stay live permanently — we would never break a link on a label that's already out in the world. Creating new QR codes on new labels requires an active Easy Pro subscription.
An out of date CLP label can be a legal issue if Trading Standards inspect your products. Staying subscribed means your labels stay maintained, your version history is preserved as an audit trail, and you get alerted when regulations change. A downloaded PNG from 18 months ago with no version history is a much harder thing to defend.
No — a UFI (Unique Formula Identifier) is not currently a legal requirement for products sold only in Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales). It is required for products sold in the EU and in Northern Ireland, which follows EU CLP regulation under the Northern Ireland Protocol.
However, if you sell online — on Etsy, Not On The High Street, your own website, or anywhere that could reach EU or NI customers — it is best practice to include a UFI on all your labels. It costs nothing to generate one in CLPeasy™, and it means you're covered if your reach extends beyond GB.
UFI generation is available on Easy Pro.
Yes — UFIs are required across all EU member states and Northern Ireland for any mixture classified as hazardous under CLP regulation. This includes all 27 EU countries: France, Germany, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Austria, Ireland, and the rest.
The UFI links your product to a dossier submitted to national poison centres (in the UK, that's the National Poisons Information Service). In a medical emergency, this code allows healthcare professionals to identify exactly what is in your product and respond appropriately. This is why it's a legal requirement — it's a safety mechanism, not just an admin exercise.
Outside the EU, requirements vary. Australia, Canada and the US have their own chemical labelling systems and do not currently require a UFI in the CLP sense — but if you are selling internationally, always check the specific regulations for each market.
