The Service
CLPeasy is a web-based software tool designed to assist UK makers of candles, wax melts, reed diffusers, and other fragranced products with generating CLP-compliant hazard labels under GB CLP Regulation.
CLPeasy operates as follows:
- Users enter their product details, fragrance load percentage, and hazard classification data sourced from their fragrance supplier's Safety Data Sheet (Section 2.2)
- CLPeasy generates a label incorporating full written hazard statements and precautionary statements as required by GB CLP Regulation, together with the correct pictograms, signal word, allergen Contains line, UFI code field, and responsible person details
- CLPeasy does not independently classify substances — it assists users in applying classifications already provided by their fragrance supplier
Regulatory Position
By using CLPeasy, you acknowledge and agree that you are acting as the Responsible Person for any products you place on the market, and that CLPeasy is a tool to assist — not replace — your own compliance obligations.
Responsible Person Obligations
As a user of CLPeasy, you acknowledge that:
- You are the Responsible Person for any products you sell or supply and are solely legally responsible for the accuracy of your CLP labels
- You must verify all hazard information against your fragrance supplier's current SDS at your actual fragrance load percentage before finalising any label
- Hazard classifications can change between supplier batches and reformulations — it is your responsibility to use up-to-date SDS data
- CLPeasy generates labels based on the information you provide — we cannot be held responsible for errors arising from incorrect or outdated data you enter
- You should not use CLPeasy as a substitute for professional regulatory advice where your products or circumstances require it
CLPeasy is built to support your compliance — not replace your responsibility. If you are ever unsure about the classification of your product, consult your fragrance supplier's SDS directly or seek advice from a qualified chemist.
Cosmetic Products Notice
CLPeasy is designed to assist with CLP hazard labelling requirements. Certain product types — including but not limited to bath bombs, soaps, body lotions, lip balms, and other products applied to the body — are additionally governed by UK Cosmetics Regulation.
Important: If you make cosmetic products, you may be legally required to have a Cosmetic Product Safety Report (CPSR) completed by a qualified cosmetic safety assessor, notify your product on the SCPN portal, and include additional mandatory label elements (INCI list, responsible person, batch number, etc.) under UK Cosmetics Regulation. CLPeasy does not cover these cosmetic labelling requirements. Using CLPeasy alone does not make a cosmetic product compliant with UK Cosmetics Regulation.
For guidance on cosmetic product compliance, refer to the OPSS cosmetic products guidance.
Account & Subscription
Access to CLPeasy requires registration and a paid subscription or active free trial. Subscriptions are available on monthly or annual billing cycles. Your subscription will auto-renew unless cancelled before your renewal date.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must not share your account with any other person or business.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or are used fraudulently.
Limitation of Liability
CLPeasy generates labels based on hazard classifications already determined by your fragrance supplier and provided in their Safety Data Sheet. Compliance depends on the accuracy of the SDS data you provide and your verification of that data at your actual fragrance load percentage.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you in connection with the service shall not exceed the total subscription fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding any claim.
We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or punitive losses arising from your use of CLPeasy or any CLP label generated using the service.

We reserve the right to terminate the service on reasonable notice. In the event of service closure, we will provide at least 30 days' notice to active subscribers.
